NOTE: The Ottawa Book Fair is an industry event open to EORBA members (independent bookstores and publisher representatives). It is not open to the public, self-published authors, or non-book wholesalers.
The October 2026 Ottawa Book Fair takes place at the Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites from October 18-22, 2026. (NEW! The October Book Fair has been extended to include Thursday!)

Accommodations
Book your accommodations at the Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites. Reservations must be made by the deadline (September 17) to secure the negotiated rate. The negotiated rate for EORBA members is $209/night. Book your room online. Booksellers can use the Bookseller Grant to offset hotel costs.
Parking
Paid parking is available at the Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites for those staying at the hotel. Street parking is also available on the streets surrounding the hotel, and additional paid parking is available at Ottawa City Hall. Booksellers can use the Bookseller Grant to offset parking costs.
Registration fee
- Bookseller: Free
- Publisher rep: $300
- Non-selling rep: $100 (this registration includes access to the hospitality suite and all EORBA events, including the author dinner, for reps who are not booking sales appointments during the fair)

Sunday, October 18
9:00am – Hospitality suite opens
The hospitality suite, stocked with drinks and snacks, will be open daily, starting at 9:00am on Sunday
9:00am – Coffee and breakfast available
Coffee and breakfast items are available in the hospitality suite starting at 9:00am.
1:00pm – Bookstore visits (TBC)
Join booksellers and reps for a visit and tour of two Ottawa bookstores (Glebe edition): Evermore Books and Octopus Books.
7:00pm – Halloween party
Join booksellers and reps in the hospitality suite for a Halloween party, hosted by Nikki (Canadian Manda Group)! Enjoy drinks, snacks, conversation, and spooky games and trivia. Your RSVP during registration is appreciated. Note: dinner will not be served at this event.
Monday, October 19
7:30am – Coffee and breakfast available
Coffee and breakfast items are available in the hospitality suite starting at 7:30am.
12:00pm – Lunch is available
Lunch is available in the hospitality suite starting at 12:00pm. RSVP during registration is appreciated to reduce food waste.
5:00pm – EORBA meeting
Meet with booksellers and publisher reps in the hospitality suite to discuss the business of the book fair and the Eastern Ontario Regional Booksellers Association. This meeting will follow an agenda, so please submit any items you wish to discuss to info@eorba.org. The meeting agenda will be distributed by email.
6:00pm – Author dinner
Join booksellers, publisher reps, and special guest authors for EORBA’s famous author dinner at the Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites! Special guest authors will be announced closer to the date. RSVP is required during registration. The deadline to register is September 25. Note: while dinner is provided for booksellers and included in registration fees, drinks will no longer be provided.
Tuesday, October 20
7:30am – Coffee and breakfast available

12:00pm – Bookseller discussion
After you collect your lunch, join your fellow booksellers for a bookseller-only open discussion to discuss anything you wish.
8:00pm – Haunted Walk
Join booksellers and reps for a classic Ottawa tradition: the haunted walk! During this 75-minute walk, our tour guide will show us some of Ottawa’s most haunted places. Registration is required for this event. As this booking needs to be made in advance, please do not register unless you plan on attending.
